We have a series of videos in Hindi that demonstrate key Self-Defense approaches. These videos supplement the Complete Self-Defense training with concise at-home practice lessons. 

DEFINITION AND INSPIRATION

The fundaments of the Art of Self-Defense are depicted through visuals to show the concept as a more holistic skill that involves the mind, body and voice. The empowering advantage of a strong, assured voice is explained. The idea that only large, strong people can defend themselves is shot down, and girls are reminded that regardless of their body profile, they possess the inner and outer strength to smash down obstacles, protect themselves during danger, and keep flying towards their ambitions. SPECIAL DISTINCTIONS AND TIPS

The important nuances of effective Self-Defense practices are shared through the Taekwondo perspective, noting the importance of the Solar Plexus area in the pit of the stomach when defending and attacking. The importance of speed and twist, and the instrumental use of confidence when trying to protect oneself are conveyed. When excruciating circumstances do occur, one must revert to muscle memory, so it is instructed that all of the moves taught should be practiced multiple times for full effect. The Agile Arms

The various strategic maneuvers with the arms are shared and displayed through slow, broken-down movements, and eventually fast, rapid actions. The importance of keeping arms up during any encounter is also conveyed, and tips on keeping one's arms strong and capable are shared. Legs: The POwerful Ending

The module is concluded with the importance of channeling each girls' leg strength towards their Self-Defense capabilities. Basic kicks like the front kick, and the importance of extending the "ball" of the foot when moving is emphasized, such that impact is maximized. Effective exercises including lunges and squats are shared, such that girls can strengthen their legs. The importance of practicing, believing in oneself and always being steadfast and diligent is underlined and a warm smile is shared to mark the end of this knowledgable endeavor.
